THE PROJECT FINISH LINE

The European Project “Finish Line in Mental Health Disorder Stigma in Sports” aims to create a multinational half marathon in each participating country (Athens, Budapest, Avezzano, Brussels), with the aim of promoting inclusive sports capable of a universal language. Each organization aims to welcome 500 participants. Before, during and after the half marathons, each organization will host discussions, workshops and other awareness-raising actions to promote the importance of sport for the well-being and mental health of people, with a minimum of 4 events per organization.

All half marathons will start simultaneously in all countries (April 2023), while all events will be live streamed and broadcast on the participating organization’s websites and social media.

The aim of this event is to attract other possible sources of funding so that the half marathons and their events become an annual occurrence.

The initiative promoted at the European level is a multinational invitation for sports and social organizations to promote sport as a generator of well-being and a healthy lifestyle.
